Steven Ceraso is a Long Island based sculptor. Steven received

his MFA in sculpture (1998) from Claremont Graduate University, and his 

BFA (1994) from Long Island University. Steven worked in Southern California 

as a tool and die welder and foundry worker prior to beginning his academic

career with the New York Studio School and Parsons School of Design.

As a nationally and internationally exhibited artist Steven's recent exhibits

include Sykes Gallery Millersville University PA, Governors Island, NYC

Jericho Plaza, Jericho NY; Adelphi Sculpture Biennial, Garden City NY

and art fairs in Cologne Germany and Stockholm Sweden.

The relationship between organic and mechanical forms is an ongoing

area of exploration. His sculptural work and installations make use of a 

variety of discarded materials to create complex narratives. These

narratives are often based in a personalized mythology.
